Universal History Annotation << Back Traditional Song Culture Balkarian and Karachain L.H. Zhappuyeva, M.K. Midova National songs – the important and rich section karachaevo-balkarian traditional musical culture, still poorly studied. In karachaevo-balkarian musical folklore studies there are only survey or private works which are characterizing only separate song genres and insufficiently lighting their art nature. The choice of a subject of this research is caused, its low-study and the big scientific and cultural importance. Main objective of work is studying of system of genres of national and song creativity of Karachain and Balkarian. Thus we will try to take up some questions connected with genre structure of karachaevo-balkarian songs and to analyse some of them in connection with ceremonial system. These are the ceremonies connected with the birth and education of children, songs of wedding and funeral and funeral ceremonies. In particular we will consider karachaevo-balkarian family and ceremonial songs in their set with their poetic features; functioning of songs in a ceremony; identification of genres and genre kinds of traditional songs; comparison of versions and options of all called genre versions. First of all song lullabies – algysha; the songs inducing the child to go; songs-poteshki; Songs dancings – Tepena, Sandyrak and Gollu; ceremonial and funeral lamentations – saryn, syjyt and zhiljau.
