Universal History Annotation << Back ARTISTIC ANTHROPONYM AS A SOURCE OF CULTURAL INFORMATION IN A. TEPPEEV’S NOVEL «THE SIRAT BRIDGE» T.J. Karova Artistic anthroponym, performing a nominative function, contributes to the expression of national and cultural characteristics of a particular people. Names own, being a kind of cultural, ethnic marker, are able to express the history of national culture. Etymological analysis of anthroponyms in the literary text allows to extract information about the material and spiritual culture of the people, about their religious beliefs, customs and traditions.
