Abaeva In the article are considered the materials, published by the literary magazine «Magazin für die Literatur des Auslandes», covering the events which were taking place in the Caucasus in the second half of the XIX-th century during stay in this region of the German offi cer Karl Stücker. Here is noted the important role of Karl Stücker in the course of carrying out reforms in Circassia the XIX-th century.
