Universal History Annotation << Back THE 1963 SOVIET-AMERICAN MATHEMATICAL SYMPOSIUM AT NOVOSIBIRSK STATE UNIVERSITY AS A SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL EVENT V.A. Vybornova The article examines one of the episodes of scientific and educational interaction between the USA and the USSR during the «cold war» – the Soviet-American Symposium of partial differential equations, passed in 1963 in Novosibirsk Akademgorodok. Special attention is paid to the analysis of building scientific horizontal dialogue at the international arena – the organization of the reception of American visitors, exchange of scientific discoveries, a definition of prospects of cooperation, joint scientific and educational activities.
