Universal History Annotation << Back The Desperate Bravery Won: on the Matter of a Captive Soviet Pilots (1941–1945) Perevoshchikov D.V. The paper considers the Soviet pilots from Udmurtia who during Great Patriotic war were taken hostile captive. A part of the materials was earlier unknown to scholars and included in a science use for the fi rst time. Many pilots didn’t submit to fate and continued a struggle against Nazism even in concentration camps. They accomplished antifascist agitation, sabotaged measures of a Nazis, escaped and even took part of uprisings of prisoners of war. Herewith absolute majority of mentioned in the article airmen due to relevant for many pilots professional psychological stability, courage survived in a captive and returned to the USSR.
