The article highlights the historical aspect of the development of the construction of stone arch bridges in the Republic of Dagestan. The features of construction, the advantages of stone bridges in mountainous areas, their originality, architectural style, combination with the landscape of the area are highlighted. Individual stone bridges are recognized as objects of cultural heritage (historical and cultural monuments) of regional signifi cance.
