Universal History Annotation << Back Stone Arch Bridges as Monuments of Dagestan's History and Culture Amirov A.T. The article is devoted to stone bridges, which are one of the most ancient and durable types of bridges. Their importance is noted in the conditions of the special mountainous terrain of Dagestan. Individual stone bridges are recognized as objects of cultural heritage – monuments of Dagestan's history and culture. The author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to preserve the existing stone bridges in the country as unique historical, cultural and architectural objects.
