Universal History Annotation << Back The Impact of Quality Roads on the Trade and Economic Relations of the Peoples of Dagestan With Neighboring Regions in the Second Half of the 19th Century Sultanakhmedov M.A., Murtuzov M.M., Muradaliev Z.Z. The article is devoted to the influence of the construction of high-quality roads on the trade and economic relations between the people of Dagestan and the peoples of the Caucasus, as well as on the possibility of selling agricultural products, livestock products, and animal husbandry. Based on the review and study of archival data and materials published in periodicals, it can be concluded that Dagestan had stable trade and economic relations with Russia and conducted trade with Azerbaijan and Georgia. The article provides historical data on the growth of productivity and the development of Dagestan's economy, as well as on the changes in the social structure of Dagestan in the 19th century [1, 2] and beyond. It was noted that the «Caspian Manufactory» textile factory played a major role in training qualified workers from the indigenous population. The role of immigrants, skilled workers, and engineers is presented in order to work on the railway, in the Port of Petrovsk, in newly established factories and plants, and in other industrial enterprises, in order to strengthen economic ties, revive trade, and involve the local population.
