Korchmina In the article the author writes about the methods of describing the nobility by birth in the Russian province that was a base for the whole system of state governing in regions. It’s very important to describe the borders of the notion. It would be very difficult to use the numerical characteristics of the region hereditary nobility made by different historians because of the uncertainty of the notion itself.
