Kupershtokh In the article, the history of the Novosibirsk Scientific Center of SB RAS is considered. The modern trends of development of domestic and world science were embodied in the life during its creation in 1957. Those are the multidisciplinary approach in the organization of basic research, the innovative nature of the results, and the integration of science and education.
