Universal History Annotation << Back WAR CHILD’S EYES S.A. Yuditsky The complicated story of my life during the war tied to parents' personalities and relationships between them. I'll start from the beginning of the war, and from earlier times. His father, born in 1886, was known in Jewish circles as a journalist, writing in Yiddish and Hebrew, to the dissolution of the BUND party after the October Revolution was an active member, involved in Jewish history with the Jewish War to the present, it was a literary and theater critic. During the civil war in Ukraine and the occupation of Kiev by the Poles father was taken hostage, transported to Poland and signed Chelm POW camp, featuring a high percentage of deaths of prisoners. From the camp he managed to escape and return to Kiev, where he became deputy head of the information department of the Red Cross in Ukraine, actively participated in the creation of the book pogrom 1918–1922 (a collection of documents posted on the Internet). Marriage to my mother was the second from his father's first wife died, he died in 2 years from scarlet fever fi rst boy, and his daughter – my half-sister, biologist histologist, died in 1954 at age 40. My mother, born in 1894, worked as a teacher, after I was born in 1932, wrote in Yiddish poems for the youngest, published in large editions of books, babes. He was a member of the Writers' Union.
