Universal History Annotation << Back SENGILEY: OLD TOWN ON THE VOLGA A.V. Rybakova The article deals with the history and cultural heritage of the famous city Sengiley (Ulyanovsk region). Considerable attention is paid to its foundation and origin of the name, as well as the dynamics of the village population and cultural heritage. In addition, it discusses the history of the city of temples. The result of the historical and cultural research were eleven memorials and unique facts of the history of the settlement.
