Universal History Annotation << Back PHENOMENON OF THE TOLEDO SCHOOL AND FOUR STAGES OF THE TRANSLATIONS О.V. Makhmudov In article given new information about the origin of Toledo school on the basis of careful analysis of the scientifi c literature devoted to history of the translations in Spain in XII–XIII centuries. Here the main attention is paid on a problem of a periodization of stages of development of school. Also, opened the role of this school as the center of distribution of works of the scientists of medieval East in Europe.
