Universal History Annotation << Back CONTRIBUTION OF LEADERS RESEARCH AND DESIGN INSTITUTES IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE STATE REGIONAL POWER PLANTS OF THE USSR IN 1921–1942 (REVIEW OF ARCHIVAL FUNDS) D.A. Sharonin The article reviews archival funds of the largest research and design institutes that made a signifi cant contribution to the solution of technical, economic, technical and technological problems of electrifi cation in the construction of energy facilities: state district heat and hydroelectric power stations, as well as related to substations and electric networks. In the course of the source study, conclusions are drawn that the activities of the institutes were aimed at the development of the electrical industry, rational design and subsequent effective operation of energy facilities, as well as resolution of the fuel and energy problems of electrifi cation.
