Universal History Annotation << Back SOME ASPECTS OF SELECTING THE SITE OF THE BURIAL IN THE ORDER IN HONOR OF GOD OF THE THUNDER AND THE LIGHTNING «SHHYBLJE UDZH» A.V. Gucheva The article is devoted to the main concepts of cult-ritual religious action in honor of the god of thunder and lightning «Shhyblje Udzh», as well as some religious and mythological views. To analyze a number of aspects of the pagan funeral rite, we used folklore and ethnographic materials, which give ideas about the religious and mythological views associated with the image of Shhyblja, revealed some features of the funeral rite, revealed the archaic and pagan features of the rite of choosing the burial site and mound burial mounds.
