Universal History Annotation << Back THE HISTORY OF THE FORMATION CITY OF JUGNO-SUHOKUMSK A.N. Alilov, Kh.G. Bashirov, M.-G.H. Magomedov Based on the analysis of materials from the central state archive of the Republic of Dagestan and periodicals, the process of formation and socio-economic development of the city of Yuzhno-Sukhokumsk is investigated. The authors show how industrial enterprises, residential buildings and the entire infrastructure of the city were built under the leadership of the republican authorities. The emergence and formation of the city was facilitated by the fact that significant deposits of oil were discovered in this area. In general, despite certain difficulties and problems, the republican authorities, together with the city authorities, tried to solve the socio-economic issues of urban development in a difficult environment. The article also notes the role of the union state in providing enterprises of the new city with qualified specialists of various profiles. The authors note that the development of oil deposits, the construction of new enterprises in the city were determined by the social structure of the city, the level of development of productive forces, and geographical factors. In the article, the authors show the role of republican and city authorities in solving problems, the formation of education, the development of sports and other problems of the city.
