Universal History Annotation << Back ACTIONS OF ESTONIAN AND LATVIAN PUNISHERS THE «WAFFEN-SS» ON А TERRITORY OF RSFSR A.A. Vinogradov, O.A. Kurbatov The article is devoted to problems of activities of the police battalions and units of the «Waffen-SS» recruited from Estonians and Latvians on a territory of the RSFSR. The article on a basis of archival and published sources reveals crimes of fascists against peaceful Soviet population, reveals role of Baltic punitive military organizations in a confrontation with the forces of anti-fascists, Soviet partisans and the Red Army. In addition attitude of leadership of modern Estonia and Latvia to an unfi nished fascists is shown.
