Universal History Annotation << Back SCIENTIFIC WORKING OF K.I. KONSTANTINOV: CREATION OF THE THEORY OF UNGUIDED ROCKETS FLIGHT IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE XIXth CENTURY V.V. Popova The article is devoted to the creation of the theory of flight of unguided rockets in the second half of the 19th century. The author analyzes the features of the development of a scientific approach to the design of rockets in Europe and Russia. Particular attention is paid to the scientific work of engineer K.I. Konstantinov in the formation of the theoretical basis of a new science – rocket dynamics. The scientific article concludes that the studies carried out in Russia in the second half of the 19th century laid the theoretical basis for the development of world rocketry in the 20th century.
