THE ROLE OF PERIODICALS, RADIO AND TELEVISION IN RAISING THE CULTURAL LEVEL OF THE POPULATION IN DAGESTAN IN 1945–1970 |

The article examines the role of the periodical press, radio, television in raising the cultural level of the population in the post-war period. Based on the analysis of archival documents, he determines the role of the press, radio, and television in the formation of the culture of the peoples of Dagestan. The authors show how television, print, radio increases the cultural level of the population, how it affects the minds of Dagestanis in the fight against remnants of the past and how they respond to modern challenges in society. Despite the great achievements, the shortcomings generated by the backwardness and weakness of the material and technical base of radio, press, and television institutions are also shown. The role of the union and local authorities in improving the material and technical base is also shown. It is shown how in the period under review, the role of cultural institutions in the life of all strata of Dagestan society continued to increase. This is evidenced by the increase in the flow of correspondence in the editorial offices of newspapers and magazines.
