Belyankina Based on philosophical journalism, archival materials and periodicals of Slavophiles and right-wing monarchist parties, the author reveals the conceptual aspects of the theory and practice of foreign policy and international relations of Russia. The author examines the attitude of socio-political circles to the issues of the correlation of morality, morality and politics, the national interests of Russia and their implementation in the international arena, pacifism and cosmopolitanism, the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The main focus is on the discussion of supporters of the «politics of feelings» and «politics of real interests».The article touches on the topic of international relations and foreign policy of Russia in the late XIX – early XX century.
