Universal History Annotation << Back The Magic of Sound and Ritual: Sound Code, Image and Symbol of Circassians (Adyghe) Archaic Music Gucheva A.V. The article examines archaic music as a specifi c way of seeing the world, with the help of which people perceive themselves and the world around them, using a special system of linguistic means. The article is devoted to the problem of sound symbolism of images and signs of myth, the material of the study was archaic samples of music that voiced the cult holidays of the Circassians (Adyghe). The article presents the results of phonosemantic analysis of not only archaic songs, which consists of establishing a connection between sound and color images, symbols and signs of the myth that arise during the analysis of the musical and poetic text of the song, but also considers the associative connection with the meaning of existence and the embodiment of human life.
