Universal History Annotation << Back HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE TOP VOLGA REGION UNDER HYDROBUILDING BLOW (1932–1955) E.A. Burdin In article on the basis of a considerable complex of sources the problem of influence of hydroknots of the Volga cascade on a historical and cultural heritage of pool of the Top Volga is considered. In the course of research it was found out that monuments of cult architecture and manors of noble family in 1930th were not studied almost and have been lost. However in 1950th at creation of Gorki hydroelectric power station the tendency of engineering protection of especially significant monuments was outlined. In the best position there were objects of archeology. For the purpose of carrying out of security-saving researches during this period expeditions which have managed to rescue partially valuable archaeological materials were created and have given a powerful impulse to the further studying of region.
