Kabirova This article presents the problems of supply and distribution of food and industrial products during World War II on the example of Tatarstan republic from today’s methodological standpoint. New archival documents enabled to assess more adequately the effectiveness of the Party and the Soviet leadership in solving the problems of citizens’ supply; to discover flaws and shortcomings in this area; and to examine ways to deal with speculation.
