We have considered the «voice» as an «instrument» of the symbolic behavior of a person, which in the myth acquired magical and semiotic characteristics, and at the same time, they functionally performed protective, healing, producing, repulsive functions, etc. The semiotization of the voice in the archaic musical tradition of the Circassians (Adyghes) is considered by us as «voice behavior», which is associated with a change in its physical characteristics: pitch (raising or lowering the tone), intonation, sound production, timbre, tempo, sound intensity (whisper, scream, etc.), recitation, rhythmic structures, etc.
Keywords: Circassians, Adyghes, semantics, vocal behavior, magic of the voice, sound, appealing songs, tune, deity, myth.
